Picture This

I think most people will readily admit that they don't know everything about God.

But imagine this:  God is eternal, and those of us who follow Him will be with Him forever.  So...is it possible that because God is eternal, we will never know everything there is to know about Him, even after being in heaven for all of eternity?

Can you get your head around that one?

Hi Elizabeth.

Old talking machine, Lyla has annoucned to the ethersphere that today is your birthday. Let me add my greetings and wishes for a great day. At your age, you can still enjoy them. At my age they are constant reminders of how finite we are.

My dad was asked at his 99th birhtday party what he wanted for his 100th birthday. He had a quick and simple but insightful answer. "I just want to be there". I think we all still seek enough immortality that we want to make that next birthday.

I enjoy reading about your musings while driving back and forth to Sisseton. I made that trip many a time plus even more trips to Wilmot and Browns Valley. I'm not sure that my thoughts were as near as profound as yours.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Paul

was just saying to my husband earlier this afternoon that God is infinite - He has no beginning. We try to define Him, but really, how do you define someone who IS the Beginning and the End?

Over from Lyla's with a happy birthday - you must be an incredible friend to her for such a tribute as she has given you...

Happy belated birthday on the bloggy. I just read Lyla's post for you and nearly cried. Why didn't I know you better before you left? I know it's a week late, but I hope that you had a great birthday.
